 Karis Callia Collins is currently an eighth grade honor roll student and in her eighth year of dance at Ballet Nova Dance Studio, Falls Church Va.  At Ballet Nova, Karis has performed in several annual Nutcracker productions, spring recitals and summer intensive camps.  

Karis, has also received tap, jazz and contemporary training and was a member of the competition teams at Center Stage Dance and Performing Arts Center, Fairfax, Va.   In her first solo competition performance she scored double platinum and placed 8th overall. 

Since elementary school, Karis has been an honor student with perfect attendance.  Her academic achievements include the Presidential Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, Certificate of Merit for Excellence in Scholastic Achievement by the Civic Coalition for Minority Affairs and participation in The George Washington University Middle School Girls GenCyber program.   As a member of Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth, Karis has received scholarships from the Northern Virginia Council of Gifted/Talented Education and the National Association for the Gifted-VAG.   

In addition, Karis is a member of the middle school chorus and is a talented visual artist, who loves baking and photography.
